You can definitely customize your dining options with the MyPyramid food groups, but you can't assume there's one size that fits all. It is your job to choose the foods in this food pyramid wisely and strike a balance between food intake and physical activity. MyPyramid foods are designed for everyone from the age of two. The recommended amount of food we eat is measured in ounces and cups. When you consider combination of grains and meat, you should consider serving sizes in ounce. Recommendations for other groups, including milk, vegetables and fruits, are measured in cups. The amount required from each food group depends on gender, age, and physical activity.
